The programs conducted by CWPFG in December 2025 reached more people, and yet another village! Below are descriptions with illustrations of the programs carried out.

Saida Caroly received three goats on behalf of her poverty stricken mother, through the Lin Amendt Agri-Entrepreneurship Program. CWPFG identifies women in need and they are given three goats to start a new livelihood. This initiative is one of the best ways to help them improve their living standard.

Millicent Awuor Achieng from Othora village received a cistern under the Doris Rosen Water and Sanitation Program. Othora is one of the villages where women walk more than 5 km to get water from the lake; alternatively, they can only get water from muddy riverbeds, which is not healthy for human use.

Eunice and Evaline, junior secondary school students from Tulu village, are among the 350 girls who received sanitary towels under the F. W. Reproductive Health and Sexual Education Program.

Here is a group of teenage girls who received sanitary towels, in preparation for going back to school in January. This reduces absenteeism; they will not have to skip school for a day or more, monthly. Consistent attendance also helps their confidence and self-esteem.

Saida Maggy of Migingo Girls Secondary School, accompanied by her mother, is one of the beneficiaries who received a partial sponsorship for tuition fees. Here she is receiving a check from Vivian for school payment under the Deborah Ullian Kashdan Scholarship Program. A total of 30 students received checks, all made out to their schools to maintain proper use.

Beryl and Kenas helping women to fill in loan/grant forms under the Natalie Andre Women Entrepreneurship Program, which helped 184 women in December 2025. These women engage in various forms of small businesses for survival; currently covering eight villages, it is rapidly expanding. Note that Beryl’s university education is being magnanimously financed directly by Lin A., an amazing supporter, and Beryl is paying it forward, just as Kenas has in gratitude for the educational financing support he received from his mother’s American friend, Deborah K.

Caroline Achieng Okoko resides in Tulu village where women struggle and walk long distances to get stagnant water from a river—a river which is infested with hippos. Here, she receives a cistern from CWPFG under the Doris Rosen Water and Sanitation Program. Caroline is also our lead mobilizer for reproductive health.

Naija Atieno of Sigoti Girls Secondary School, receives a check from Vivian for tuition fees though the Deborah Ullian Kashdan Scholarship Program.

Samples of contraceptives given to women include Femiplan which is an oral contraceptives and Depovera which is an injection. A total of 100 women participate in the F. W. Reproductive Health and Sexual Education Program.

Volenteer Gidion received a cistern for rainwater harvesting under the Doris Rosen Water and Sanitation Program. She is joined with Josephine Joshua, who also benefitted.

The Lin Amendt Agri-Entrepreneurship Program which supports women in rearing chickens as an income generating project; the program has 200 chickens and is currently owned by 50 women.

Our common means of locally available transport are carts, pulled by donkeys. This cistern is being transported to the beneficiary’s home using donkeys .
